Mini-Retreat: Learning the Language of the Body & Spirit

Finding time to really take care of yourself can be tough. Time is but one of the many obstacles that seem to get in the way. Sometimes its hard to know exactly what to do, or how to even begin. Who better suited to give you guidance than your True Self? The body and spirit are constantly sending us messages about what we need and what we really want. This mini-retreat will gently guide you into a conversation with your body and spirit, leaving you feeling grounded and renewed with a stronger understanding of what self-care looks like for you.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal as this mini-retreat is a combination of gentle and restorative movement, guided meditation, and personal journaling. You will not be required to share personal information.

Introduction to Ayurveda

Ayurveda, known as the “knowledge of life” is the sister science of Yoga. It is a complete wellness system based in nature whose goal is to teach you how to attain optimal health and wellness through a deeper understanding of yourself and your own unique nature in relationship to the world around you. This 90-minute introductory workshop is great way to gain a foundational understanding of this complex system in simple practical terms.
You will learn:
• The guiding principles of Ayurveda
• Ayurveda perspective of health and wellness
• The Ayurveda approach to nutrition and diet
• Practical tools to create more balance and harmony in your life

Finding Restful Sleep Through Ayurveda

Sleep is deeply important, and we all want deep, quality sleep—yet sometimes this seems elusive. Ayurveda, an ancient, holistic system of medicine that heals the physical body, is yoga’s sister science, and offers insights into the mysteries of quality, rejuvenating sleep. Ayurveda teaches us very simple and easy-to-implement practices that can have a profound impact on the quality of our lives—and the quality of our sleep.

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn:

  • The functions of sleep

  • Understand the Ayurveda Perspective on sleep and sleep imbalances

  • Practical, natural strategies for creating balance and optimizing your quality of sleep


This informative and experiential 2-hour class will end with a guided Yoga Nidra practice.

Mindfulness meditation offers a wealth of benefits to all areas of our being: calming the mind, bringing ease to the body, and rejuvenating the spirit. This 2-hour introductory workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to learn more about this powerful practice and how to create a sustainable home practice. Participants will have opportunities for practice and will be provided with resources to support a home practice.

When you learn how to make gratitude an intentional part of your daily life, it becomes a protection that helps weather all storms. Cultivating gratitude is a healing practice. Join us for this 2-hour experiential workshop to learn how to cultivate gratitude in your daily life and increase gratitude personally, interpersonally, and spiritually. Develop your habits of gratitude to increase joy, hope, and love in your day-to-day life.
